The surf has dropped over night, some weak chest high sets are coming in every once in a while. Looks like the winds and the swell are going to be good this weekend, thank goodness, I have not surfed for more than 3 weeks. See ya

The surf is running chest high with good form and lots of fun lines coming in.
We just got back from 2nd annual Casa Pellas Torneo de la Amistad in San Juan del sur, we caught a shit load of dolphin and had our very first Marlin on for about 45 seconds. The left rigger broke free from the clip and line was smoking off the reel faster than I have ever seen before, Andrew pulled the reel out of the holder we were looking to see if it was going to jump and it did. The first jump was huge and we realized that it was not a sailfish it was a 250lb+ black MARLIN, we were all yelling and trying to get all the lines in while watching this monster jump three more time. Jimmy from the Va Pué called on the radio saying look explosion behind you not knowing that Andrew already had him hooked, after the forth jump the line went slack and the marlin went back on his way. We were all so happy just to see that huge fish jump so many time, it was crazy, it was amazing. We really did not have a chance to get it to the boat but we were F*@*#ng PUMPED. And, our good friends Lance, Jimmy on the Va Pué just a few hundred yards away from surfari charters had a monster on and they were locked in for a long day of battle that they won and we were there to experience the whole thing with them.
