The winds are onshore and the rivers are flowing like crazy, it is chest high on the sets with lots of logs in the line up.

I took Richard and Tracey for Jax beach out on an afternoon fishing charter yesterday and Richard landed the 100 lb sailfish on a reel that only had 20 lb test line on it and it only took him 2 hours.  Richard was our very first guest here at the surf sanctuary 3 years ago and he was the first to catch a sailfish here at the surf sanctuary, could not have happened to a kinder guy.

While Richard was fighting the sailfish I saw a big Dorado swim along the side of the boat so I flipped out a rigged mullet and he hit it right away, I set the hook and we all watched him jump 7 times right next to the boat and he threw the hook on the last jump.  Tracey got it all on video and it is SICK.

Just to let everyone know, I did not intend to kill this fish and I gave to a family that will have food for a week.

We sent our friend tito to the tuna tower to let us know when the fish was getting close.

here at the surf sanctuary we have a house rule for horse shoes, if you do not get the shoe to the pit it is minus one point, or better known as the scott rule because he could never get it to the pit
